A "verified preowned" Infiniti was purchased from The Taverna Collection on May 16, 2025 for out-of-state delivery in Arizona, with the expectation that the service records and condition would be as promised. Advertised by David Guerrero as "mint condition and in their showroom and with an extra insurance as certified preowned with all service records". Instead, the car arrived with the engine light on, resulting in $2400 in repairs to pass emissions and register the vehicle in Arizona. This was a major, undisclosed issue, more significant than a simple oil leak as they later tried to claim. My husband was sent a link to fill out a complaint regarding the condition of the vehicle and the cost of the repairs.
After the sale, attempts to address the issues were unsuccessful. Calls and emails were unanswered. When a response was received about filing a complaint, the wording of the form was dishonestly changed to protect the dealership. This situation suggests a pattern of targeting out-of-state buyers who could not verify the vehicle's condition before the purchase.
This experience aligns with what appears to be a pattern of deceptive practices at The Taverna Collection. The dealership is NOT BBB accredited and has received 22 complaints with the Attorney General this year alone (as of May 30, 2025). Numerous other online reviews describe similar issues, including cars delivered with unreported damage, title problems, and a lack of customer service after the sale. READ THEIR REVIEWS AND LOOK AT THE CUSTOMER PHOTOS OF THEIR CAR'S CONDITIONS!
My husband and I have bought a total of 4 cars site unseen and have previously used a company called The Lemon Squad for an out of state inspection and have always been successful. The only reason we didn't used the Lemon Squad for this purchase is because David Guerrero stated the car was certified preowned Infiniti and the service records will come with the car as an extra insurance of the condition of the car.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB, The attorney General's office in Florida, The Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle office who licenses the dealership and CarGurus where they advertise on a regular basis. I am not sure how anyone who is employed at the dealership sleeps at night scamming as many people as they have. How does the state of Florida not take action? All of the people involved are disgusting human beings.
If you are considering buying a car from The Taverna Collection, especially if you are not local, be extremely cautious. Do not rely on their promises; they seem to prioritize sales over customer satisfaction and selling reliable vehicles.
